Foot in mouth

The other night at Bible Study I commanded Ms. Hunter to post on her blog. This reasonable sentiment, word of its existence spreading quickly across both the real and the cyber realms, has been met with a surprizing amount of ironic judgement and sarcasm, spawning such phrases as "that's fine for Loretta to say when she hasn't posted in two months" and I have been stung into redeeming my polite request of Ms. Hunter, which was actually very appreciated by most, by making this very post.

The above demonstrates my lately learned and indepth knowledge of how to use subordinate clauses. Of course, one only writes this way in Latin, but isn't cool how that entire paragraph is only two sentences? Cicero would be proud. To take this further, the order of clauses I used goes: main, adjectival, main, adjectival, main, relative, adverbial. Nice. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I have been having a usually busy semester. This whole past week was unusually difficult. I was weepy and tired and unable to get out of bed and on Friday I actually skipped Latin because I just couldn't do it anymore. I did not practice yesterday either. Well, wouldn't you know it, I came down with pneumonia today, which explains it all. I have been lying in bed all day, whining for Evie to do things for me. Daddy made me soup which was really good.

I am preparing a recital for Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 1:00 in the afternoon. So far, all my pieces are a disaster. I was supposed to have a lesson today (yes, on Saturday) but naturally I had to cancel. I don't know what is to become of me.

Well, back to online shopping, the latest craze among the Lorettas of 2007.

Keep hanging in there! People are even praying for you in Tasmania. Thanks for updating the blog; I was wondering how things were going.

I'm sorry you're sick :-( I was worried on Friday when you were late and then didn't show up for latin...I figured it was something like that. hang in there.

I've had the weepies/not able to get out of bed syndrome lately too. Actually, the only reason I did get out of bed Friday was because Aaron called me at like...I think it was FREAKING 7:34 AM and woke me up because he couldn't find his grey farrier tote and did he leave it at the barn and could i bring his hammer handle? But if he hadn't called me I wouldn't have made it to class either. So long story short...you're not alone is that any consolation? Probably not.

m so grumpy and depressed. I think it's the weather. let's be grumpy and depressed together.

I liked the red shirt you wore friday.

Get better soon.
Love,
Brittany

That may all sound top-hole in Latin old stick, but translated into English it's dashed bad form.

You've got to get some antibiotics flowing or your lungs will fill up in your sleep and you'll drown. In bed. Not a happy ending, dear crumpet.

I too must complain about a general sense of crabbiness and low spirits. I attribute this to weather and a nine month old who has decided that sleep is entirely overrated.

It must be something in the air. Almost everyone I know has been having the 'low downs'.
Hope your feeling better soon.

I wondered where Loretta got that silly idea! You shouldn't go about telling her these things!

I think we all need to have a party. With scones!
