Where do you think most children slept in biblical times? At least in the same room. Nothing unbiblical about sharing a bed with your children. There are healthy cultural boundaries to take into mind, though. Like, sleeping with your 16-year-old may be a tad abnormal and not good boundaries. But, a baby or toddler? No, IMO. I find it more unbiblical to stick your child in some room alone to scream itself to sleep--if we are to use "biblical." Really, it is a private decision on the family's part and neither decision is sinful. Don't listen to lies that it makes your child rule the house or be in charge. We have quite a handle here on Union to who is in charge and who is not.
It IS, however, unbiblical when one party is not favorable towards the decision of the children in the room. That makes for putting the children before the spouse, and that is indeed sinful and will make for much marital stress and problems.
And, to those without children, I was actually STRONGLY opposed and repulsed by the idea of cosleeping prior to having children! Now, we all love it here.....
:) Always feeling the need to defend what we do....just gets me in trouble.
Oh well. Have fun in your music world.....
so your kids know about every time you have sex?
Ummm, no. ;) No details need be given, but I understand your concern. Generally, our children are sleeping when they are in bed (and before we are sleeping). That is the point bedtime...is to be sleeping. We do not lack private time nor do our children experience any part of our private time. Cosleeping parents tend to be very creative and "sneaky."
Think outside the box. :0)----
Dirty.
So yeah, clearly Anna and OJ control Union Ave. Except at the Birn compound. Seamus rules here. As for children sleeping in bed, how will they ever learn how to sleep on their own, something that is expected for adults?
this is a dumb discussion that I will delete if it gets out of control. My blog is not to be used as an Argue Your Bizarre Opinions forum.
You brought it up.
I would like to think that in this case I'm not the one with bizzare opinions.

Birn, Birn, you make it too easy...
